Desert Boots

Classic 1950s Desert boots are usually made from suede, with a thin, crepe sole. But who said that classic has to be static? Today you will find a variety of styles, colours and materials available in the Stylight online shop, to suit all tastes and styles.

History

Desert boots were invented in the 1950s by Nathan Clark (of Clark's Shoes). Inspired by boots worn by Eighth Army Officers, hewn in Cairo's Bazaars from rough suede with crepe soles, the original desert boots were created by Clarks. They have now become a staple style popular with men and women worldwide for their comfortable, soft design and brushed appearance.

When to Wear Desert Boots

Suede boots come in a variety of colours, from blue boots and green suede to neutral and brown Clarks boots. It’s easy to create a relaxed and modern style is easy with desert boots, as they look good with just about anything. But they’re amazing paired with coloured skinnies, a t-shirt and scarf for retro appeal. Swap your chunky Diesel boots for something fiendishly fashionable and slip into a pair of C.Petula suede boots for a look that is anything but ordinary.

These boots are perfect teamed with skinny jeans and a cable knit jumper, adding a pop of colour to your neutral outfit. Instant Reboot: Upgrade With A Desert Boot

Drier times scream one thing: suede season. On these days, no matter what the temp, you’ll want to throw your chunky boots into the back of the closet and switch to these: lightweight, multifunctional desert boots.

Regardless of your style, shoes are one of the most important parts of your wardrobe. We’ll show you four ways to wear this classic that will leave you ready to hit the pavement.

Suited & Booted

These boots’ relaxed shape and countless colors will showcase even the dressiest of suits. Darker shades look sharp with lighter suits, and the two tones play off each other perfectly. A deep green or navy boot mixes well with a tan or white suit.

Roll With It

No matter what pants you decide to wear with desert boots, consider rolling them. This showcases your shoes and is seasonally appropriate. A pair of cuffed khakis teamed with a polo shirt and light blazer takes you to tailoring status.

Dress Them Down

The idea of wearing shorts with boots may seem odd. But the desert boots low profile combined with suede’s natural softness make mastering this look a lot easier. Keep it casual with cotton shorts and a simple tee–these boots will elevate this ensemble in the slightest ways.

Make It Pop

Pants and desert boots were made for each other. Just make sure you choose a color that clashes to add bold contrast. Pick a worn-in denim wash or chino for a more edgy feel. When you’re deciding what to anchor with your white trousers or jeans try a pop of burnt orange or maroon. Finish with a lightweight jacket in the same hue.

The perfect crossover style between sneakers and dress shoes, desert boots are versatile enough to work with any look. Choose this suede stunner and put your best foot forward.
