Fur Boots

Fur has been used in the making of boots for millennia, now Stylight has a range of modern pieces of footwear to show off. The fur boots in this range adopt numerous styles, however one thing they all have in common is that they look sublime. Fur boots are the ideal way for a person to keep their feet warm during the coldest months of the year.

Four Tips for Caring for Fur Boots

When the temperature goes low and everything outdoors is blanketed in snow, keeping covered in fur is always a good idea. Not only is it luxurious, but it’s insulating—the ultimate fashion-meets-function combination. It’s understandable why its use goes beyond coats to boots that can walk the walk.

Like a coat, though, fur boots require special attention and upkeep. Here are four tips to make sure they’ll last longer than one season.

  1. Know When to Wear Them

Fur boots, especially ones lined with fur, are best when the mercury drops to prevent the chill from nipping at your heels. Although you can wear them in light rain and snow, be cautious of extreme conditions as too much wetness can cause the material to become matted and lose its lush integrity.

  2. Tackle Smell Foot First

Stinky feet starts at your sole. Since fur boots are so soft, it might be your first instinct to put on a pair barefoot. However, you should slip on a pair of socks first. Socks fight against sweat and the bacteria that causes foot odor, which will be tricky to vanquish from inside your shoes.

  3. Clean Them  With the Utmost Care

A small stain on fur can do serious damage if it isn’t handled correctly. Tend to it immediately with a damp cloth or fur-specific cleaning solution, and blot—don’t rub—the stain. Another alternative is to take the boots to a professional cleaner. It’s not as cheap as the DIY method, but it will pay off in the long run.

  4. Store Them Away Safely

Once it starts to warm up outside, you’ll want to kick your boots to the proverbial curb in place of strappy sandals. Real fur does not bode well in the heat, so store your boots away properly, back in their box and a cooler room.

Fuzzy wuzzy footwear can warm up even your coldest days. Since they take such good care of you, make sure you return the favor.

Make your fur boots last with a little extra care.
