Better Biker: How to Wear Leather Biker Boots

When it comes to motorcycles, you may be a total novice or a complete pro. But whether you’ve ever swung your leg over the seat and revved the engine or not, there’s a good chance you’d like to learn to rock a pair of leather biker boots.

The simplest way to do so is by taking your boots in one of two directions: Either go all in by fully embracing the Hells Angels look, or soften up your biker boots by making them a little more approachable. Here, we outline the two approaches.

Go All In

Ready to take the plunge? Look like you’re straight out of a real biker gang by donning a head-to-toe black leather ensemble and adopting an intimidating scowl. Start with ripped black jeans and a worn black printed t-shirt. Add a rugged leather jacket that you customized with pins or patches to symbolize allegiance to your chosen gang, throw on some dark sunglasses, and you’re ready to ride.

Soften It Up

Not so sure you want to look like you walked straight out of the land of lawlessness? Soften up your appearance by pairing your biker boots with less in-your-face pieces. Try wearing them with a dark plaid shirt and dark-wash jeans for guys, or a flouncy tulle skirt and lived-in denim jacket for girls. You’ll be pulling on the biker toughness without so much of the scary.

Whether you like walking down the street and intimidating everyone that crosses your path or want just a dash of that tough-as-nails exterior, leather biker boots will become your go-to footwear when your outfit needs a little extra oomph.

Leather biker boots make tough look good.
