The most inclusive makeup brands on the market
As more attention is being paid to beauty brands and their shade inclusivity (or lack thereof), diverse shade ranges are finally becoming the norm in today’s beauty industry. Inclusive makeup brands like Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Pat McGrath Labs have become household names for their shade ranges and more and more black-owned beauty brands are finally getting their time in the spotlight.
To celebrate and acknowledge inclusive beauty brands, we’re highlighting five companies that have put their money where their mouths are for extensive color and shade ranges.
1. Estée Lauder
Estée Lauder expanded the range of its Double Wear Stay-In-Place foundation to include 56 shades. You can be sure that the perfect shade for you exists and won’t make you look gray or ashy!
2. Illamasqua
Illamasqua has been speaking out against the lack of diversity in the industry. It was also the first brand to take on transgender model Munroe Bergdorf. They have demonstrated exactly what brands should be aiming for in gender diversity in the beauty industry.

5. Maybelline New York
Often, drugstore products are known to not be very inclusive. But, Maybelline is working to break that stereotype and become a leader in affordable, inclusive beauty. The Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation comes in 40 shades. 40 freaking shades for a drugstore foundation is a crazy deal, especially when its often in the $10 range.
