How to make large pores almost invisible
Large pores are the living proof that something incredibly small can be an incredible bother. And while you can’t actually get rid of your pores in their entirety, there are a few tricks of the trade to diminish their appearance. Here’s what you need to know to camouflage your pesky pores.
Hack #1: Use A Pore Minimizer
Pore minimizers work as kind of a soft focus and make large pores disappear. They’re gelatinous and transparent primers and fill up the small sebaceous glands without clogging them completely. Gently massage this onto clean skin before applying makeup.
Hack #2: Use Compact Foundation
A very thick, liquid foundation can settle in the pores and emphasize them even more. It’s better to use pressed compact products that perfectly conceal larger pores. They still make the skin look natural and less mask-like. In the summer, it’s also recommended to use loose powder, which is a little lighter on the skin.
Hack #3: Use Brush or Makeup Sponges
Using your fingers can actually make pores look even larger. A brush, on the other hand, allows the product to be perfectly distributed on the skin and worked deeper into the pores, making them invisible.
Hack #4: Blotting Papers
Large pores usually produce a lot of sebum, which settles on the skin as a shiny, greasy film. The more active the pores work, the faster these shimmer under the makeup. So, you should dab the T-zone with blotting pepper. This will ensure an even and matte finish.
Hack #5: Wash Off Your Makeup
Although this tip contributes little to the pores, you should be sure you’re washing your makeup thoroughly in the evening. Otherwise, there’s a risk that all that primer and powder will settle deep into the pores and cause acne.
