Olivia Palermo’s top 10 beauty secrets

1. The secret of her bright, luminous skin? A workout. According to Olivia, sport is better for your skin than any product could ever be. The influencer is a yoga enthusiast and has been practicing Bikram since she was 18 years old. She also loves workouts by Tracy Anderson, her personal trainer. (PS: For Olivia, wearing makeup to the gym should be considered illegal!).
2. Olivia has very thin hair, so to keep it healthy and strong, she goes to the hairdresser for a trim every three weeks. Her favourite hair product? Julien Farel’s Vitamin Restore serum, applied after shampooing for truly regenerated hair (It only costs 39$!). She also uses products by L’Oréal Professionnel and Kérastase.

3. Olivia’s main beauty obsession? Her nails! It is a real “religion” for her: she never leaves home without pedicures and matching manicures, even in the winter. Her favourite polish colour is red. And the French manicure? For Olivia, it is absolutely out of the question: a totally naked nail would be better in her eyes.
4. Olivia loves natural make-up. For long, yet real-looking lashes, she chooses mascaras like The Full Fat Lashes by Charlotte Tilbury and the classic Diorshow of Christian Dior.
5. For her face, Olivia uses products from Japanese company Mii Cosmetics which have very affordable prices. Her favourite is Miraculous Color Corrector, which covers blemishes and redness on the skin. And for lips? She loves all the lipsticks by Christian Dior.
6. This may surprise you, but Olivia loves fake eyelashes. All you need to apply them like Olivia? A set of tweezers by Tweezerman and Mac’s expert Duo Adhesive glue.
7. And the cheapest, most accessible product of them all? Olivia swears by her grandmother’s trick: ” I do not use a specific product, ” the star said. “I clean my face with Vaseline and a cotton ball before going to bed every night.” Simple!
8. Olivia’s travel beauty kit? A mascara, an eyeliner, a hair spray, a nail file for quick touch-ups, a dry shampoo, a mini comb, a facial treatment by SK, and a mini bottle of Orange Blossom Cologne by Jo Malone, her favourite perfume.
