These super chic flats are perfect for the office

Finding a cute pair of flats for the office is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. While so many of us love the extra height our heels give us, having a few pairs of comfortable flats is essential for work and everything in between.

Transitional weather calls for versatile pieces, and mules undoubtedly fit the bill: sturdy enough to withstand the elements, but also great on warmer days. From the more casual Birkenstock Bostons to the pointed and bedazzled Manolos, mules come in all shapes and sizes. They’re great for those with sensitive, blister-prone heels.

Trends are fun, yes, but timeless, classic pieces are just as (if not more) important. A nice pair of “smart” shoes like Derbys, brogues, and loafers will be one of the building blocks of your shoe wardrobe. When it comes to styling, lean into the smart vibe with a suit or tailored separates, or go ironic with contrasting pieces.

Mary Janes were one of the big shoe trends to arise in 2023, and they’re still going strong this year. We love them not only for their girlish, playful appeal but also for their comfort and practicality (if you’re like us, you might not want to brave your city’s transport system in paper-thin ballet flats).

On the other hand, ballet flats were arguably the most prominent shoe trend of last year, resulting in an influx of ballerina-inspired footwear on the SS24 runways. Soft leather, but also mesh and bedazzled designs are all the rage, and a great way to add some bling to your look. And the best thing is, they’re small and lightweight enough that you can toss them in your bag and wear sturdier shoes on your commute.

Add a little bling to your flats. They might not have a heel, but they don’t have to be boring!  A little sparkle will add some interest to your shoe and spice up any outfit you pair them with!

We all love slingback kitten heels, but what about slingback flats? These underrated faves are coming back strong this spring, and we’re going to see more and more of them as the weather gets warmer, as an alternative to open-toe styles.
