“Going out” outfit ideas to save for when you have “nothing to wear”

You know the feeling. You’ve got a girls night planned or date night that’s long overdue and you have “nothing to wear”. So many times I’ve looked at my closet and have zero fashion inspiration. So I’ve compiled a list of some cool outfits for a night out – to save for later when I’m feeling indecisive or uninspired.

It’s time to ditch the “pants and a cute top” look for something a bit more trendy. Girly, femme-fatale, rocker-chic, or urban cowboy? Whatever your style vibe is – there’s is something for you! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a mini skirt and some mid-calf boots. It’s and easy “cool girl” outfit that’s uncomplicated and one that you can mix and match in multiple ways. Box-pleat mini skirts and balloon skirts are currently very trendy – but a good ol’ fashioned black mini skirt will also do the trick. Skirts not your thing? Try a skort!

Honestly, what’s cooler than animal print right now? Especially leopard and cheetah print. I’m a huge fan of leopard print at the moment – especially on a night out. And if I’m feeling like being even more extra I’ll add a faux fur jacket. If you’re heading out on a spring or summer night and think a faux fur jacket is too heavy, opt for a lighter afghan coat with a fur collar instead.
