Paris VS New York Fashion Week
When winter approaches, editors, fanatics, and fashion influencers have only two words in their mouths: “Fashion.” “Week.” This is the time of year when celebrities and important figures from the world of fashion migrate, like birds, towards the “Big Four” to discover trends of the next year.
This madness of celebrity, fashion, and culture begins in New York City, continues in London and Milan, to finally finish in Paris. The bonanza of crowds brings a whopping revenue of $900 million to the Big Apple and a similar number is estimated for Paris and its beautiful cafes as well. The debate continues between which of the countries’ fashion weeks can claim the title of “most influential.” Certainly, the star power reigns supreme at the New York show but for pure style and designer “boundary-pushing,” the favor may lean towards Paris. Who prefers black heeled boots over high top sneakers or sunglasses with bright glasses over stylish Valentino sunglasses, below, our Stylight Editor in Chief gives her take on the comparison between the two iconic weeks – and the many little details many may not know.
Stylight was inspired by the design of the book cult Vahram Muratyan “Paris vs. New York” and adapted it to Fashion Week.
