How to wear the Balenciaga patchwork trend
Since Demna Gvasalia took the position of creative director at Balenciaga, the brand has been going viral. From sock boots to puffer jackets, pretty much anything that goes down their runway is set to become a trend. Next up? Patchwork. Just in case you’re not familiar with the style, it’s basically various different fabrics stitched together in new ways to create a unique print (and we love it). First spotted on the SS18 catwalk, the next stop is your wardrobe.
While Balenciaga went for mismatched checked and denim trousers, they weren’t the only ones experimenting with patchwork. Alexander Wang clashed leather with denim and silk, and Sacai created all over patchwork dresses.
