30 questions to ask your best friend
What are some of the best things you can do for your health? Thousands of studies have touted the benefits of regular exercise, healthy eating, and sleep for a person’s overall wellbeing but as one recent study shows, the strength of a person’s social circle can be just as important as getting in their eight hours for overall health.
The study found that the strength of someone’s social circle, as measured by inbound and outbound cellphone activity, was a better indicator of an individual’s overall mental wellbeing than what was reported on their fitness trackers for hours slept, heart rate, and activity levels.
Maintaining strong friendships have been linked to a person’s estimated lifespan, risk of dementia, and their growing and/or shrinking waistline. Talking to friends can decrease our stress levels, improve our immune systems, and most importantly, make us smile.
So with that being said, don’t you think it’s a good time to call your friends? Whether it’s your bestie on speed dial, old sorority sister or high school locker buddy, take it from us and give ’em a call. It’s good for your health, science says so! And if you maybe know them a little too well and are itching for new conversation points, we’ve listed 30 questions to learn something new about your friend.
