1. Constant Nagging: Psychologists say that nothing destroys a relationship as fast as criticism of your partner. Instead of criticizing, it’s better to give feedback and come up with solutions. Constantly asking your partner to do or not do things will just frustrate them.
2. Disregard Borders: The loss of one’s self, leads to the loss of the relationship. When you start seeing yourself as “we” instead of “you and me”, you lose the boundaries of a healthy relationship. Without realizing it, we can be controlling towards our partner and act in a way that hurts their self-esteem.
3. Lack of Communication: The worst thing you can do in an argument is wrap it up because you don’t want to deal with the fighting anymore. It’s very important to work on communicating with your partner and find ways to stay on the same page.
4. Disregarding your Partner’s Feelings: The worst thing you can do is throw harsh insults during fights and such. Your partner will remember these words for a long time to come and will hold them over your head. Be mindful of your partner’s feelings and their emotions.
5. Jealousy: You already knew this and yet you still hold onto feelings of jealousy. You should let your partner trust you and in return, you should trust them and have mutual respect for each other. It’s okay to have certain boundaries set in place, but once they’re there, trust that your partner is sticking by them.
