The Name
You might have noticed that “Pajar” is not a brand name with an easily recognizable meaning. That’s because the word was entirely made up by French-born shoemaker Paul Golbert when he founded the company. By combining the first letters of his name and the names of his son and wife (Jacques and Rachel), the Pajar namesake was born.
The Shearling
Pajar pioneered the shearling-lined boot. This pure sheepskin lining can keep you warm and toasty in up to -40 degree weather. But it’s not enough for us to tell you about it, you have to feel the plush lining for yourself. Get the Pajar experience by lacing up a pair of plum-hued boots and match it with a shearling jacket.
The Sport
Pajar is all about skiing. The brand’s dedication to the sport began in 1973 with the creation of its first sheepskin lined ski boot with the iconic zig-zag design. Fast-forward to 1989 and Pajar was named the certified supplier of footwear for the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. So the next time you hit the slopes, take comfort knowing you’ll be in good hands (or shoes) with a thick pair of wool-lined Pajar boots.
