They will perfectly cover you in storms, yet won't leave you overheating during warmer spells.

As they don't cover your entire outfit, short coats leave you plenty of scope to customise and personalise your outfit. As your bottom half will be open to the elements, add a pair of bootcut jeans to keep the wind at bay.
